Kerry Penisula-Spain is an award winning hair and make-up artist, accompanied with a wealth of experience having been in the industry since 2001. Alongside frequent hairdressing practices of all descriptions, her specialities include bridal hair and make-up application, photographic collections, TV/film make-up, special effects, body-art and character looks. Kerry works as a hair and make-up artist for SKY Sport TV, on movies such as The World’s Fastest Indian, and the international feature film by Disney productions, Pete’s Dragon.

Master Stylist Hourly Rate $120 per hour

Kyla Allan began her journey in the hairdressing industry in 1998. Within that time, she has worked as a qualified hairdressing tutor at the Southern Institute of Technology, internationally as a hairstylist in the spa industry for Steiner Transocean aboard luxury cruise liners, and has competed and claimed a regional and national NZ hairdressing title, as well as a position on the NZ Loreal creative team in 2011. Kyla has always had a passion for training, and feels strongly in the importance of passing on a solid skill set to the next generation of hair stylists.

Nikita is passionate for everything hair & makeup, she has been hairdressing for over 8 years now and will continue to grow her skills through Halcyon with makeup application. "I love making each person that sits in my chair feel pampered and inspired. I enjoy working with a variety of hair types & styles but my absolute favourite is short hair. I feel excited to be a part of the Halcyon Family as they are always doing the most beautiful and up to date looks. I can't wait to pamper new and existing Halcyon guests and being a part of your hair journey."

Halcyon is multi-purpose, designed to be a beautiful salon for hair and make-up with a custom built professional photographic studio for hire that doubles as a seminar/educational space. Halcyon also has a freelance option available for out of town weddings, on location photo shoots, T.V. and film pre-production, shows and events.

At Halcyon, we like to do things a bit differently. We book our guests independently by appointment to create a bespoke hairdressing experience. We give you undivided attention at all times because we feel having your hair styled is an incredibly intimate experience. The industry as a whole has been headed in the opposite direction for far too long!
